Our CG Pricing: As Unique as Your Vision

Our pricing may vary depending on the scope and needs of each project, but rest assured, we put the same care and attention into every one, following a process-driven approach to bring your vision to life with precision and creativity.  Let’s skip the “one-size-fits-all” pricing. CG is all about creativity and precision, so we offer a personalized approach to pricing. Have a look at some of the projects we worked on:

Project Costs: Transparently about our Pricing

At Ars Thanea, we believe in the power of open communication and trust. Whether it’s our studio team or the relationship we are building with our clients, we value transparency and collaboration. So, we won’t beat around the bush, trying to ditch one of the most common questions we get: “How much does it cost?”. Instead, we will break down our pricing method and tell you about our approach.

Are you looking for a short answer? Well, it depends.

As much as the price can vary, we will offer our expertise and guidance to bring your idea to life while making sure that you know exactly what you are paying for. Let us explain how we do it, why we do it, and the approach we take to make it happen.

Navigating CG Pricing: What are the critical factors

As we said, prices may vary significantly depending on your needs. This is even more pronounced in the creative field of CG, where, thanks to the craftsmanship approach, every project is one-of-a-kind.

The main three aspects that you have to take into account are:

  • Concept
  • Timeline
  • Workflow

This core trio is closely intertwined, with each element affecting the others. We will explain why below. Worry not; you don’t have to have all the answers ready. We are here to help guide you through the whole process.

Concept

Clarity and Structure

Great ideas often need a solid framework to fully come to life. A thorough brief helps us minimize any uncertainty, allowing us to provide a more accurate and expert-driven solution. We understand that it's not always possible to have every answer ready from the start — and that’s completely fine. So, if there are any unknowns in your project, our creatives are here to brainstorm with your team and help fill in the gaps.

Timeline

Defining the Schedule

The same applies to time constraints — with tight deadlines, we adjust the approach to ensure the project can be delivered within the given timeframe. Keep in mind that sometimes this means agreeing to some trade-offs. This could also mean trade-offs with the concept, but we’ll tweak it in a way that keeps it on track with the schedule.

Workflow

Balancing Budget and Quality

Quality and complexity impact the budget. The higher the budget, the more sophisticated and detailed the effects can be. We can price any project from scratch, but if there’s a set budget, we’ll tailor our approach to fit within that range, selecting the techniques and approach that best match the financial capabilities.

Consultation for Unusual Scenarios

If something unusual arises, whether from a creative or technological perspective, we strongly recommend consulting with our team. They’ll take a look at your concept to figure out the best way to use it and how to bring it to life. This step involves working closely together - your technical team and our experts - to make sure we're all on the same page with everything: the creative vision, the tech, and the overall approach.

We’ll find the perfect fit for you.

Defining Formats and Resolutions Early On

We need to know the required formats and resolutions upfront to avoid extra work later. If we focus only on one format, for example the horizontal one, we won’t automatically have other formats ready. If you ask for a vertical version after the horizontal one is finished, we might need to redo significant parts. In CG, we prepare everything but only optimize the parts visible in the chosen format.

Planning Deliverables and Lengths

Clearly defining the length of the deliverables is crucial. This helps us plan the work effectively and avoid any delays or unnecessary revisions if the length or format changes mid-project. Having these details upfront ensures smoother delivery and keeps the project on track.

If you don’t have precise technical specifications, we can assume what you will need. The price quoted, however, is for a given format and resolution. If, after handing in the deliverables, you decide on another specification, it will have to be re-priced.

Copyright and Legal Considerations

When copyright is transferred (for example, for photos or music), it must be passed on to the client. When it comes to licensed material, though, the scope of usage rights is key to the bid. Things like territory, time, and media can all affect the price. It’s important to nail down these details early, as they can make a big difference in cost.
